It might be helpful to take a peek at your source code f the XML you're talking about.

You need to include a <Category> tag inside <SoftwareType> alongside <Categories>. That tag is being used by the ingame newspaper that says something like "XYZCompany revolutionized <Category> with an awesome piece of Software" as stated on the wiki:

Hey, I didn't know private messages were a thing on this forum so I completely missed out on them. Feel free to translate anything I release. :)

I found out that my router was blocking Uploads to the Steam Workshop. Uploading at my friend's was working fine so it has to be a filter that one configured in the router settings.

General Discussion / Re: Specifying room usage?

You can very easily. It's just like assigning a team to a room but instead of the "recycling" icon you click the icon which looks like "no parking". The rest should be self explaining

Releases / [FURN.] Versatile Chairs (Now on Steam Workshop)

I am having trouble with uploading stuff to the steam workshop because some internet filters block it so here we go:
This set of furniture offers a variety of new chairs since there aren't a lot in the game yet. I gave my best to adapt them to the main and simple style of software inc.

- Swivel Chair: Basically a more realistic Office Chair but the name was already taken.
- Meeting Chair: Some fancy chairs which boost the environment
- Stool: Looks like the Office Chair without a rest
- Modular Bench: common Canteen seating. (3x furniture pieces which connect to each other)

I will be gone for about 2 weeks, and I might consider revive this project

until then I have this trello, which I'm not done with and Ideas will also come along as I work on the project and probably before

If you think I'm missing anything please tell me :)

The Trello Link is either wrong or private :D Anyhow I can't view this board. (But I am really interested what ideas you gathered so far)

Looks like I hijacked my own computer. When I try to edit any files inside the Steam folder it says that I need permissions from DESKTOP-A01234X (which is my own computer) to edit anything. I am confused. Even after I unistalled Steam it prompted me with this message.

I never doubted that you are experienced. You are definetly more experienced than I am as I just develop websites as an hobby. :D

Nice idea! That filling mechanism could also apply to other things like computers :D
